*Monday, 9/29:  pages 16- 17 & 22 → GCF & LCM  (p. 22 is combine like terms) plus then subtracting integers challenge when done

*Tuesday, 9/30: pages 18 & 19 → using area model to multiply

*Wednesday, 10/1: pages  20 & 21 → distributive property

*Thursday, 10/2: pages 23 & 24  (skip pages 22 & 25) → properties

*Friday, 10/3: FIELD STUDY day

NOTE: first unit test will be on Friday, 10/17

8th Grade Compacted Math: 

• Unit 1 Part 3 Packet (answers for pages 3-9 AND answers for pages 10-12 AND answers for pages 13-end of part 3 packet)

*Monday, 9/29: pages 3-4, 8 →  y = mx + b

*Tuesday, 9/30: pages 9-12 → spiral review

*Wednesday, 10/1: pages  13-14, 15→  spiral review & finding slope

*Wednesday, 9/24: notes on pages 9 & 10 together then students work on pages 11 & 12 → combine like terms

*Friday, 9/26: pages 13-15 → combine like terms

NOTE: first unit test will be on Friday, 10.17

8th Grade Compacted Math:

*Monday, 9/22: MAPS testing 

*Tuesday, 9/23: MAPS testing  

*Wednesday, 9/24: go over first problem together on page 1 then students work on pages 1 & 2 → patterns

*Friday, 9/26: pages 5 - 7 →  y = mx + b (note on page 6, 2nd row 4th column that the x-values are no longer increasing by just 1…how is this different?)

Tuesday, Sept. 16:  (get NEW part 3 packet) *Part 3 pages 1-4  → multiply and divide integers

Wednesday, Sept. 17: EARLY release → NO math

Friday, Sept. 19: Part 3 pages 5-8 → more multiplication & division of integers (tell students we will do MAPS testing on Monday and Tuesday next week –also Wednesday if many still need to finish up – so bring a book to read if finished early)

8th Grade Compacted Math:

Monday, Sept. 15: pages 18-20 → determine if point lies on a graph

Tuesday, Sept. 16:  pages 21, 22, 24, 25 (skip 23 for now)→ choosing points to create a table

Wednesday, Sept. 17: EARLY release → NO math

Friday, Sept. 19: turn in packet 2 (you’ll get it back to finish pages 23 & 26 later) & get NEW packet 3 pages 1 & 2 →  (tell students we will do MAPS testing on Monday and Tuesday next week –also Wednesday if many still need to finish up – so bring a book to read if finished early)
